I am an artist and illustrator living and working in Buxton Derbyshire.
I was a traditional upholsterer but I always managed to find time to paint and draw. I decided that in order to achieve a high standard, art must become my main priority, a total commitment. I now accept the irresistible desire to create images through whatever media it requires.
Although I love freedom and expression, I love the constraints of watercolour as much as I love the abandon of pastels. I am interested in pattern and colour and I love texture and vibrancy, and I am happy to employ any media that enables this; paints, pastels, plastics, tissues, inks, holistic cards, fabrics; the list goes on and the possibilities are infinite.
I am bursting with a multitude of ideas, including ideas for children's' books that I have carried around in my head for years. At last I have the time to invest in these, and other, projects.
